In a nutshell
As a client manager, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction, minimizing churn, and maximizing revenue and profit margins through cross-selling and upselling opportunities. You’ll oversee overall client account management, collaborate with sales and delivery teams to provide exceptional service, and foster strong client relationships. This role demands excellent communication, project management skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Here’s where you fit in
- Proven experience (0.5-2 years) in customer management or account management, preferably within a service-oriented sector.
- Strong understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrable ability to identify and leverage cross-selling and upselling opportunities resulting in revenue growth.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Proactive and customer-centric mindset, with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Knowledge of online marketing/SEO/link-building services is a plus.

- Oversee timely and accurate delivery of contracted services, collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, and meet customer expectations.
- Build strong, personal customer relationships, understand their needs, and exceed expectations as their primary point of contact.
- Facilitate communication between sales and delivery teams, provide customer feedback, and identify growth opportunities.
- Actively assess and enhance customer satisfaction by collaborating with internal teams to improve the customer experience.
- Implement measures to minimize customer churn, conduct regular account reviews, and address concerns promptly.
- Identify opportunities to sell services to existing clients, collaborate with sales to maximize revenue and retention.
- Develop structured account plans to enhance customer satisfaction, identify opportunities, and effectively manage client relationships.
- Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and make recommendations to improve customer management efforts.
- Establish regular internal and client meetings, personal interactions, and customer reporting.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competition, and emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
