Yes, I know, another blog about the wonders of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. But this one, like all others before it, will definitely change your life! Probably not, but I might be able to give you some cool tools to supercharge ChatGPT for SEO purposes, which will surely impact your day-to-day work (and save you lots of time!). Sounds good? Then let’s get to it!
Right, just in case you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of months, let’s have a quick talk about what ChatGPT actually is (feel free to skip ahead).
The rise of Artificial Intelligence
Back in 2015, a group of entrepreneurs (amongst them none other than Elon Musk) founded OpenAI, a research laboratory aimed at the development of artificial intelligence. Fast-forward a few years, and the institute has released ground-breaking research regarding AI language models, robotics, and conversational AI. Additionally, they’ve released progressive tools like Dall-E, an algorithm that generates images from text, and (you guessed it) ChatGPT, a conversational AI chatbot.
Let’s focus on the latter. ChatGPT is a chatbot, with access to a huge data set, ranging up until 2021. After ChatGPT’s launch a few months ago, it’s taken the world by storm. From dietists being written off, as the chatbot can make perfectly balanced weakly meal plans, to copywriters doubting their existence, because of ChatGPT’s ability to generate near-perfect informational copy within seconds. In short: ChatGPT opens up an enormous range of possibilities, and did I mention it’s completely free?! Right, let’s get to some ways to apply ChatGPT!
Using ChatGPT for content & SEO
Content being one of the most important pillars of SEO, we’re always looking at different ways to get our content-game to the next level. Here are some extensions that are going to skyrocket your content production… if used correctly. One thing to keep in mind, is that ChatGPT gets its information from existing content, meaning that while it does generate unique content, but combines existing content. Simply put: nothing can beat human ingenuity and creativity! AI is a great tool to help you brainstorm, do research and create outlines for your content, but at the end of the day you should still be writing your own content, not an AI.
Huge SEO templates to leverage
Now for one of my favorite extensions: AIPRM for SEO. This beautiful little extension ads ten different prompt templates, right into your ChatGPT interface. Honestly, the following screenshot says it all.
Some of the best features here are the different templates for keyword research and strategies. When you combine those with the article structure prompt, you’ve got yourself the perfect recipe to a good blog or landing page. Start leveraging ChatGPT as the SEO powerhouse you are!
Bring the SERPs into your conversations
A chatbot like this basically functions like a supercharged search engine, spewing out high-quality results. But sometimes you’d just like to have a little more context along with that result. WebChatGPT is the perfect tool to this end, as it produces Google SERP results, right into your chatbot interface. A basic, but useful extension. Get informed during your chat!
Let ChatGPT answer the bigger questions
Now for the ‘UNO-reverse’ for the above scenario: an extension that brings ChatGPT answers to your SERPs pages. This one works with every modern search engine on the market, and provides a neat little box, with ChatGPT’s answer to your search queries. Level-up your SERPs!
Some cool ways to use ChatGPT in your daily work life
As stated above, ChatGPT has innumerable uses right out of the box. To extend its value even further, a few people way smarter than me have developed some great extensions that are going to help you to level-up your ChatGPT. Let’s go through a few of these cool applications, that you might be able to use throughout your workday.
Write great snarky Tweets (no humour required)
In the past, you’ve always needed to be at least a little bit funny to write snarky responses on Twitter. That’s a thing of the past! With TweetGPT, you’ve got yourself the perfect Tweet-assistant. Don’t worry, it can also write profound responses to Tweets as well. But where’s the fun in that, if you can have it respond to SEO articles with snarky quibs like this?
TweetGPT can write Tweets for you in ten different tones of voice, so what are you waiting for? Go try it out for yourself!
Save yourself some time writing basic email responses
Sometimes I longingly think back to the times that I didn’t receive 50 emails per day. Now to be fair, I archive the lion’s share of those emails without replying to them, but for the ones that do require attention, I’ve always dreamt of having an assistant to answer them. No more! With ChatGPT Writer, you can have ChatGPT write emails for you, that includes ones that have to written from scratch and personalized replies. This beautiful little tool writes you the perfect email within seconds, and only needs the context of the previous email in the conversation and/or a simple prompt about what you want the email to include. Like this one: ‘Write an email that talks about the importance of content marketing and proposes a follow-up meeting about it’, which resulted in the following:
Gone are the days of wasting hours on replying to emails. Stop writing basic emails yourself, today!
Time to stop reinventing the wheel
As I mentioned before, there are countless ways to use ChatGPT to your advantage. With clever prompts, you can get it to create near-everything. But thinking of the right way to get it to work with you takes time as well! In comes FlowGPT, a huge database of great ways to use OpenAI’s chatbot. Enough talk, time to chat!
